Outline of TOKKA System
TAKAO's Originality Supports High Productivity of the Tandem Press Line.

Outline of TOKKA System

This servo controlled transfer robot was developed to make full use of the existing tandem press system.
This TAKAO'S original safety-conscious transfer system can use conventional tandem dies.

Main features

High Productivity:
The system is capable of three basic operations: Two-dimensional operation at the maximum speed of 25 spm, three-dimensional operation at the maximum speed of 20 spm and vacuum operation at the maximum speed of 17 spm. The capacity is 8,700 to 11,500 strokes a day on an average. Its operating efficiency is very high at 90 to 96% including die change.

Setup Time:
As dies and fingers can be preset outside the press and dies can be changed in the conventional tandem method, additional setup operations are not required for the transfer system.

Effective Use of Dormant Machines:
Any dormant machines in the tandem line (three to five units) can be effectively, used to enhance the operating efficiency of the press system.
This eventually increases the percentage of work that can be done Promptly.
With this machine connected to the blanking press, products are pressed directly from the coil.

Reuse of Existing Dies:
Exisiting dies can be used as transfer dies by partial modification.

Safety:
Setting of blank dies on the idle base can be done outside the press. They can be transferred into the press by means of the intermediate transfer system, which enables to secure high safety. Maintenance of the machines and finger adjustment can be done outside the press. In combination of a material loading machine, unmanned operation can be achieved and higher safety will be realized.

Specifications:
Specifications for the transfer system shown in the right table are modifiable to meet for the corresponding press or dies(products).

Reliability:
Stable production is guaranteed by a combination of varicam/servo system that enables continuous operation synchronized with the press.
Backup batteries are not required for the servo motor. In addition, position detecting and machine control are possible even under power failure, which enables to separate the machine from the control panel. The two-boister system allows each machine of the same specification to be operated by the same control panel. As a result, system costs can be saved considerably.
Note: The machine should be returned to the home position and lnc power should be turned on before separating the machine from the control panel.

Operational Efficiency:
This transfer robot was designed to promise stable production through its programmable operation in accordance with the characteristics of parts. Programmed teaching is possible by means of the pendant or the sequencer loader. Program contents can be stored in the memory card. Up to 100 parts can be stored in one program which consists of 999 steps.

Maintenance Efficiency:
Servo errors are indicated by message codes so that problems can be quickly resolved.
